The research group PArtiMus – Artistic Research in Music, Creation and Experimentation – was registered in the CNPq Directory of Research Groups in 2022 and is based at the Graduate Program in Music at UFRJ, in the area of Creative Processes and the line Poetics of Musical Creation.

The group emerged as a natural consequence of activities that had been underway since 2017. As a result, the group already has an extensive list of productions that include participation in conferences, published articles, compositions, performances, and academic activities.

The main objective of PArtiMus is to promote artistic research in music within the program, with autoethnography as one of the main research methods.

“Partimus” is a Latin word in the third-person plural that means sharing and distribution, and in our case, it refers to the desire to share knowledge and artistic processes.
